So many people around the World have been inspired, affected and transformed by the Ecstatic Dance gatherings at Sweets Ballroom, in Oakland, CA. Many of those many people have taken action to create containers for freeform movement and conscious dance, in their communities. As of June 2012, the 4-Year Anniversary of Ecstatic Dance Oakland’s first gathering, 15 cities around the World have Ecstatic Dance gatherings happening at least monthly. Amazing.
Tyler Blank, Co-Founder and Director of Ecstatic Dance Oakland, is creating a non-profit, called Ecstatic Dance Community, to support people answering the call of their community to bring Ecstatic Dance into their lives. I’ve been sharing my marketing and communications skills with Ecstatic Dance Oakland for at least a few years, and I’m honored to serve the Ecstatic Dance Community of cities around the globe. Inspired, inspiring work, to support entrepreneurship and community healing…with access to Ecstatic Dance almost anywhere I want to be, and a collection of crash pads all over the planet. Awesome.
